Bill Bergman has propelled the Bergman Group from a one person consulting firm to a full-service diversified communications company in a little more than a decade. With practice groups in advertising, health care, publishing, Web site development, design and direct response, the Bergman Group diverse client base is spread across the country.

Over his 30-year career, Bill has worked at major advertising agencies including BBDO, The Richards Group, Ross Roy and Earle Palmer Brown where he was chairman of the Virginia division before starting the Bergman Group. He also has a background in publishing having served as director of circulation and then head of promotion and creative services for Newsweek Magazine in New York.

At a time when others preach specialization, Bill has built a successful business as a communication generalist with areas of expertise inside his organization. Bill's diverse background allows him to enter market segments with fresh new thinking. He and his team have successfully built advertising and communications programs for clients like Children's Hospital of Dallas, American Enterprise Institute in Washington, D.C., the National Audubon Society in New York, Marts & Lundy in New Jersey, the Henrico County Economic Development Authority of Central Virginia and Drive Time in Phoenix.

Bill is married and has a son and a daughter. He is an adjunct professor of advertising at Virginia Commonwealth University and he has completed numerous road races including the New York City Marathon.
